Requirements

  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Qualified candidates will be enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health and Safety, Environmental Sciences, or a related major.
  • Applicants must include relevant coursework in their resume.
  • Desired Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Shows initiative and is able to work independently and in teams
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills
  • Strong experience using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Outlook, SharePoint, and Box a plus

Responsibilities

  • Focus on a special EHS project to be determined based on the intern’s interests and experience
  • Assist with developing and/or reviewing EHS policies and procedures
  • Assist with developing and/or reviewing safety training content
  • Participate in EHS inspections, propose corrective actions, and track items to closure
  • Participate in investigating safety incidents and concerns and proposing corrective actions
  • Support daily EHS activities and program maintenance, as appropriate, to ensure compliance with Local, State and Federal requirements
