Requirements

  • Intern should be junior/senior level college or graduate student
  • Have an understanding and sensitivity working with people of diverse identities and backgrounds.
  • The ability to communicate effectively in-person, virtually, and in writing. Bi-Lingual Preferred but not required
  • Ability to fulfill duties and responsibilities with a limited amount of direct supervision (after appropriate training), and to complete assigned projects in a timely manner.
  • Ability to effectively interact with colleagues and the public in a positive and professional manner.
  • Ability to perform work in a multi-task environment, prioritizing needs for efficient and effective service.
  • Must Possess Basic to intermediate level computer skills including word perfect/word processing (and other administrative skills applicable to entry-level employment) presentation platforms, and/or graphic design knowledge or familiarity.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research, provide technical and presentation assistance to Equity Department representatives on equity-focused projects.
  • Attend and participate in committee meetings, workgroups, and special projects that promote equity and inclusion across Feeding America.
  • Design content for online platforms and develop sustainable ideas to integrate equity initiatives within the national organization and member network.
