Requirements

  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Residency
  • Must be a current, matriculated student in an accredited program graduating August 2024 or later
  • 2.75 GPA (unofficial transcripts might be asked to submit)
  • Ability to work 40 hours week throughout the duration of the 10-12 week internship program.
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to verbally present information and respond to questions from small to medium groups
  • Ability to interpret data and analytics to develop insights, tell stories, support the decision-making process, and measure impact
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated
  • Ability to interact with internal and external clients professionally in a fast paced, high-energy environment
  • Ability to be an independent worker with a team player attitude

Responsibilities

  • Community Marketing Initiatives (e.g. Fan Van activation)
  • Effectively engage with current and prospective fans using promotional strategies.
  • Assist with our Fan Van calendar and interact with our community partners.
  • Travel to events in Indianapolis and surrounding communities.
  • Set up, tear down, maintain, and facilitate fan engagement activities, including our prize giveaways.
  • Game Day Execution:
  • Set up and tear down fan engagement activities around the arena.
  • Manage prize giveaway stations, photo booth activations, autograph signings, and family fun activities.
  • Coordinate game day DJs and other entertainers.
  • Distribute special guest prize packs.
  • Interact and communicate with Fan Zone members.
  • Office Responsibilities:
  • Manage general administrative responsibilities as requested.
  • Maintain inventory of promotional materials.
  • Restock and organize prizes for game day giveaways.
  • Research fan van opportunities across Indiana.
  • Participate in discussions regarding marketing and promotional strategies.
  • Support the strategy and activation of the Bicentennial Unity Plaza.
  • Other duties as assigned.
