What is the Young Leaders Program (YLP)?
The Young Leaders Program (YLP) is a 1-year full-time consulting program designed for recent university graduates from different academic backgrounds who are interested in pursuing a career in consulting and are passionate about working in Africa.
Who is eligible to apply for the YLP?
The YLP is open to West African graduates who have completed or are yet to begin their country's mandatory national youth service.
What qualifications do I need to participate in the program?
Applicants should have an undergraduate or master's degree, less than 3 years of work experience, completed or are about to begin national youth service, and an outstanding record of academic achievement.
What type of skills are required for the position?
Candidates should possess exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills, the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
What kind of training and development can I expect from the YLP?
Participants in the YLP will receive exceptional training, frequent coaching, and mentoring from colleagues on their teams, allowing for continuous learning and skill development.
What kind of impact will I have as a fellow in the program?
As a fellow, you will be an integral member of client engagement teams, gathering and analyzing information, formulating hypotheses, and presenting recommendations directly to clients.
Is there a possibility of full-time employment after the YLP?
Yes, following the end of the YLP, assuming good performance, you may be offered a full-time business analyst role with the office.
Where will I be working during the program?
You will be working in the Lagos office as part of the Young Leaders Programme (YLP).
