Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, or related degree required
  • 0-1 years’ internship experience in energy or other commodity businesses preferred but not required
  • Product knowledge in gas, oil, and/or petrochemical markets is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience working in an ERP system preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong strategic thinker with demonstrated analytical capabilities
  • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills
  • Dynamic interpersonal skills with strong verbal, writing and presentation skills
  • Willingness and ability to work independently; be a self-starter
  • Capacity to work under time-sensitive business and reporting deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Assist the credit, treasury, and/or accounting team on completing assigned tasks
  • Aid your colleagues with payment processing
  • Assist colleagues with answering questions from banks
  • Proactively identifying opportunities for increased business opportunities
  • Prepare various ad-hoc financial reports
  • Prepare management presentations covering company results and key performance indicators and financial reports
  • Uphold internal credit policies and procedures
  • Help with invoice issuing and invoice coding (for costs allocation purposes)
  • Contribute to the development of the various finance teams and to the positive working environment
