Requirements

  • Rising sophomores and juniors with an expected graduation date between December 2024 and June 2026
  • Preferred areas of study include, but are not limited to the following: Finance, Acturial Science, Math, Economics, or Accounting Majors
  • Strong reporting and analytical skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills, Microsoft Access, and familiarity with reporting systems
  • Strong interpersonal and excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to take initiative and carry out job responsibilities with a minimum level of oversight once trained
  • Unrestricted work authorization to work in the United For U.S. employment opportunities, Gallagher hires U.S. citizens, permanent residents, refugees, and temporary residents. Temporary residence does not include those with non-immigrant work authorization (F, J, H or L visas), such as students in practical training status. Exceptions to these requirements will be determined based on shortage of qualified candidates with a particular skill. We will require proof of work authorization.
  • Willing to execute the Company's Employee Agreement that requires, among other things, post- employment obligations relating to non-solicitation, confidentiality and non-disclosure.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate willingness and ability to learn actuarial concepts on a project driven basis
  • Demonstrate ability to work professionally as a team member in a group with diverse backgrounds
  • Communicate effectively in fast pace work environment and be able to multi-task to meet deadlines with quality and accurate deliverables
  • Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual financial monitoring reports tracking expenses by product lines; adapting to various carrier reporting websites
  • Prepares budgets and contribution strategies for various product lines by collecting historical data, developing and estimating trends, preparing assumptions and examining plan values.
  • Works closely with finance consultants and account management team to tailor financial deliverables to the needs of each client
  • Culture: Adopting Gallagher’s unique culture, the “Gallagher Way,” on how to ethically serve
  • Our external and internal clientele; Participating in various local community service events
  • Being a Team Player: Assisting in various regional and/or branch projects to support Gallagher’s risk control service initiatives
