Requirements

  • The ideal candidate for this position will have experience working in a fleet maintenance facility safely and efficiently as well as possess a positive and team-oriented attitude.
  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in any field
  • Current enrollment with a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester (undergraduate level), or 3 credit hours per semester (graduate level)
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
  • Available to work up to 25 hours weekly.
  • A valid Nevada driver’s license
  • Legal right to work in the US, including authorization to work off-campus.

Responsibilities

  • This position will be staffed with Fleet Mechanics and Fleet Service workers to perform a wide variety of diagnosis, repairs, and maintenance on a wide range of vehicles /equipment. The candidate will be exposed to and learn many different skill sets.

Mission & Purpose

The Las Vegas Valley Water District is a not-for-profit water utility that began providing water to the Las Vegas Valley in 1954. The district helped build the city's water delivery system and now provides water to more than 1 million people in Southern Nevada. LVVWD also services Big Bend Water District (Laughlin), Blue Diamond, Coyote Springs, Jean and Kyle Canyon.
