Requirements

  • Student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Student must be in good academic standing at their university, with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale
  • Mechanical engineering experience especially related to fluid dynamics and thermodynamics preferred
  • Knowledge of automating laboratory equipment, and MATLAB/Ni LabVIEW programming experience preferred
  • Quick learner, high degree of flexibility

Responsibilities

  • Assist with lab test and evaluation of fluid components and subsystems
  • Operate and modify custom-built test stands including automation of the data acquisition and control systems
  • Work directly with senior engineers to gather data, analyze data, graphically present the data, and produce written reports and oral presentations
  • Support team members through procurement, shipping, and inventory functions
