Requirements

  • Are a college or university student with at least 2 years of university experience
  • Are pursuing a degree is in Merchandising or Food Science
  • Have previous retail experience (preferred, but not required)
  • Quickly learn and adapt to current technology trends and needs
  • Work well independently and as a part of a team
  • Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently
  • Utilize effective communication skills

Responsibilities

  • During your internship experience, you can expect to develop the following skills:
  • Leadership, specifically around leading others and yourself
  • Customer service, including Guest experience and engagement
  • Knowledge in retail business fundamentals
  • Goal setting
  • Business acumen
  • Merchandising
  • Food Science and Culinary Arts
  • As a GetGo intern no two days are the same, but a typical day may include the following:
  • Spending time shadowing the store leader and department leaders
  • Leading through daily priorities
  • Partnering with leader to learn more about GetGo Merchandising
  • Working with leadership to set goals and expectations
  • Collaborating with team members to complete special projects
  • Utilize your skills and knowledge in merchandising or food science
  • Delivering an excellent Guest experience
  • Working with leaders to understand business reporting and Guest insights
  • Actively participating in internship training activities, development opportunities, and events
  • Foster a safe, diverse, and inclusive culture
  • Carry out specific duties as assigned
