Requirements

  • Candidates must be currently enrolled in a university program pursuing an Associate’s Degree or higher in Geography, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics with the intent to continue after the internship, unless graduating.
  • Candidates must have completed one year of study in their program.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Courses completed include Intro to GIS, Spatial Analysis, Spatial Data, and/or Intro to Geomatics.
  • Knowledge of ArcGIS Suite (ArcGIS Pro).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word).
  • Basic knowledge in Python, SQL, JavaScript, and HTML.
  • Ability to work well with others both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

  • Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.
  • Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study.
