Requirements

  • 3rd-4th year of Bachelor’s Degree in GIS or Survey
  • Intern or professional experience (less than 3 years) in GIS / Survey
  • Must be an US Citizen or authorized to work lawfully in the US, without sponsorship from Wood
  • Excellent communication (written and spoken) and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management skills, with ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and flexible environment
  • A good understanding of coordinate systems and transformations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing project GIS databases including data loading, quality assurance and metadata.
  • Assist with producing maps, charts, reports and other data deliverables for internal and external issue.
  • Contribute to GIS data specifications and other technical material.
  • Assist with performing pipeline routing assessment and developing reports.
  • Assist with data interpretation and analysis of geospatial datasets in support of Site Assessment Plans and Construction and Operations Plans for offshore wind developments.
  • Interact with department members to ensure that work is produced and issued in a timely manner and project information is distributed amongst them
  • Establish good rapport and build relationships with peers and clients by responding to requests and communicating information in a timely manner.
  • Comply with all company policies including safety policies.
