Requirements

  • Candidate is currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate level degree program.
  • Ideal candidates will have:
  • For undergraduate focus in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, history, writing, statistics, academic, political science, public health, biology, chemistry, entrepreneurship, economics, or liberal arts training.
  • For graduate level applicant pursuing a degree or recently graduated in a program in public health, international relations, political science, and/or public administration science.
  • Has completed at least two years of undergraduate coursework
  • Is available to work full-time throughout the 10-week internship
  • Is eligible to work in the United States
  • Transitioning military are also encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

  • Candidate must participate in programming/seminars/meetings scheduled throughout the abternship.
  • Work on analyzing HIV-related data within Abt Associates in collaboration with the ECHO project. The intern will closely work with ECHO capture/proposal led to gather comprehensive information, examining the specific nuances of HIV prevention and treatment strategies implemented by Abt Associates. The goal is to identify and address data gaps, leverage insights, and provide information for ECHO and Abt overall.
  • The research will provide a detailed understanding of how Abt and data-driven approaches contribute to the overall impact of HIV initiatives.
  • The intern's work will contribute valuable insights to optimize data collection, management, and analysis processes, ultimately supporting Abt's commitment to advancing global health outcomes in the context of HIV research.
  • In addition, the intern will:
  • Scheduling Kick-Off Meetings, and other relevant proposal development meetings,
  • Searching and tracking new and forecasted funding opportunities from USG and other donors
  • Drafting timelines and coordinating with teams
  • Creating proposal sites, organizing folders, and uploading templates
  • Support proposal teams in completing non-technical proposal components, particularly annexes and attachments
  • Liaise with Human Resources on recruiting and staff documentation as necessary
  • Collect and tailor Past Performance References, etc.
