Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a master’s program at a college or university in a related field of study or within one year of graduation date: epidemiology, statistics, public health, or global health
  • Demonstrated interest in related subject area through studies, work experience, and/or personal travel
  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
  • Strong writing and research skills
  • Please submit a writing sample between one to two pages
  • Articulate, professional, and able to communicate in a clear, positive manner
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English
  • Typical Physical Demands:
  • Remote office environment
  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time; ability to lift to 5 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • The intern may contribute to various team or project activities under the direction of their supervisor in the following ways:
  • Support a literature review on severe adverse events (SAE) following mass drug administration (MDA) for NTDs other infectious disease amenable of MDA.
  • Review the notifications and reports received, and the developed SAE trackers since 2019.
  • Conduct desk reviews, landscape analyses and/or secondary data analyses
  • Conduct country calls/meetings as needed to clarify findings on SAE cases occurrence and reporting processes (e.g., assisting with calls/meetings preparation, meeting minutes, a post-meeting report).
  • Write the resulting technical and epidemiological findings.
  • Contribute to Contribute to project-related presentations, reports and/or manuscripts development.
