Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a college/university degree in computer science, privacy, cybersecurity, international relations, intelligence studies, political science, security studies, human resources, business administration, or another related field
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with a passion for learning and problem solving
  • Team-oriented with a desire to collaborate
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills
  • Bonus Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in information security education
  • Familiarity with phishing and social engineering methods

Responsibilities

  • The Global Information Security (GIS) Department is a critical component of the Technology Division and is focused on delivering a safe and secure environment for the operation of our markets. Education & Awareness is the team within GIS responsible for ensuring information security best practices are communicated effectively to CME Group colleagues.
  • The GISEA intern will support the team with initiatives including the social engineering program, security awareness training exception process, evaluating training content and procedure documents. Through the internship, the intern will gain knowledge of how attackers approach phishing and social engineering, will build and share meaningful metrics, will understand training exceptions, and will experience typical office operations and administration responsibilities.
