Seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineering Intern with excellent communication skills and computer proficiency, particularly in Revit and Rhino. Must be able to travel to project sites, attend meetings, and work in an office at least twice per week. Visual acuity required.

The Level 1 Mechanical Engineering Intern at HED | IDEAS in San Diego will assist with design tasks, support project team leaders in construction documentation, utilize Revit for production documentation, create project details, coordinate with team members, gather information on site visits, contribute to project pursuit documentation, and attend seminars on project management and business development.

The experience intendeds to complement and not replicate their academic experience.&nbsp;</li><li>Interns provide junior level support to one or more of HED’s ten market sectors. Project work exposure can vary, anywhere from planning and concept development, through design and production and construction administration. Interns also attend a series of workshops that provide introductions to the intricacies of project management, business development and marketing, all crucial to the successful operations of an A/E firm.</li><li>Interns at HED harness their critical thinking skills, enthusiasm, innovation, passion, energy, and curiosity to make a positive impact through design excellence to make the world a better place.
