Requirements

  • Working towards BS/MS degree in geology, hydrogeology, geochemistry, or related field.
  • Practical ability to analyze field and technical data, perform research, demonstrate technical knowledge, and solve problems.
  • Personable and motivated with the ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn new skills while undertaking work assignments.
  • Exhibits strong attention to detail.
  • Strong technical aptitude and a willingness to learn new software programs.
  • Strong organizational and communications skills (ability to communicate in writing, verbally and graphically).
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug and alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

  • Compile and manage field data to be used in project work.
  • Assist with data analysis and data visualization using surfer and GIS.
  • Assist with analyzing and interpreting environmental data.
  • Assist in geologic and hydrogeologic research.
  • Collaborate with other scientific and engineering professionals within the practice.
  • Assist in technical reporting.
  • Compile data to use in groundwater flow and contaminant transport modeling.
  • Assist in preparing soil boring log and well construction diagrams.
