Requirements

  • University Hiring Program Eligibility Requirements:
  • University Enrollment: Must be currently enrolled in and returning to an accredited degree-seeking academic program in the Fall.
  • Internship Work Period: Must be available to work full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) during a 10-12 week period starting May or June. Specific start dates are shared during the recruiting process.
  • Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:
  • Current enrollment in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, or related degree-seeking program at the Master’s, or Doctorate level
  • Camera, optics, CMOS Image Sensor or related work:
  • Basic knowledge of image quality measurement methodology and parameters
  • Basic knowledge of image sensor design: pixels, analog readout and serial interfaces
  • Proficiency with data collection and analysis tools
  • High level programming language (C, C++, Python)
  • System Simulation coursework (ISET for example)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Image sensor and camera system characterization
  • Perform sensor characterization tests following standard testing procedures
  • Capture test results, perform data analysis and generate summary reports
  • Present summary results to senior staff and cross-functional teams
  • Software simulation of an imaging system:
  • Develop infrastructure that integrates validation against measurements into regression tests for both optics as well as sensors
