Requirements

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering
  • Excellent Low-Level and GUI Programming Skills (VB, C#, Java, C/C++, etc.)
  • Experience with embedded software coding and debugging.
  • Ability to read schematics, troubleshoot signals, isolate, and identify board issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated, ability to learn quickly, and a self-starter.
  • Analytical skills – Able to gather data and draw conclusions to solve problems.
  • Able to work through a prioritized list of tasks/projects with minimal direction from manager.
  • Preferred qualifications:
  • Familiar with 1-Wire® protocol
  • Working knowledge of Cryptography:
  • Secure Hash Algorithms (SHA-2, SHA-3)
  • Challenge/Response Authentication
  • Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA)
  • Symmetric & Asymmetric Authentication

Responsibilities

  • Proficient with Visual Studio .NET (VB, C#, etc.)
  • Acquainted with ARM processors development platform.
  • Working knowledge of serial interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UART, and 1-Wire®
  • Capable of using hardware development and debug tools including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other lab test equipment
  • Excellent record keeping and documentation keeping skills: definition specification creation, software requirements specification, bench evaluation reports, block diagrams, simple schematics, etc.
  • Understands the importance of source version control.
