Requirements

  • MS or PHD Student with Focus on Circuit design or device physics.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of digital and analog circuits.
  • Deep knowledge of CMOS device physics.
  • Experience with spice and Verilog simulation tools.
  • Knowledge in Unix/Linux scripting language
  • Knowledge programming language such as Perl or Python.
  • Good verbal communication skills (English)
  • Interested and motivated to work as an engineer on sophisticated systems-level products
  • Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with colleagues
  • Individual must have proven ability to achieve results in a fast moving, dynamic environment.
  • Self-motivated, self-directed, and a team player (on the same team and outside of the team).

Responsibilities

  • As a Design Engineer Intern within the NAND Core Circuit Design Team at Micron, located in San Jose, California, you will be responsible for designing and developing non-volatile NAND memory array drivers and sensing circuits as well as implementing improvements to Micron's existing designs. The successful candidate must be able to optimize performance of array circuits through simulations and customize circuits and structure and chip plan based on project needs.
  • You will work with cross functional teams including process technology and product engineers to specify array waveforms and biasing conditions, analyze array related issues, determine root cause and apply corrective actions. The advanced scaling of 3D NAND Flash memories makes design of circuits to interface with the array extremely challenging. This is a critical role in continuing to enable best in class NAND Flash memory design in terms of die size, performance and reliability.
