  • Education and Experience:
  • Working towards a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Construction Management or Operations Management from a college or technical school; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be proficient with Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Language Skills:
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees of organization.
  • Mathematical Skills:
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Reasoning Ability:
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and assist in winter maintenance projects including assessment, design, fabrication, and installation at various HMA facilities.
  • Learn and assist in winter maintenance cost tracking.
  • Learn and assist in general maintenance of HMA facilities as needed.
  • Learn and assist in the evaluation of existing facilities for future capital projects.
  • Learn and assist in development and overhaul of new lock out/tag out procedures for HMA facilities.
  • Learn and assist in evaluation of ARC flash studies for possible mitigation.
  • Learn and assist in operation of HMA facilities as needed.
  • Learn operation requirements of Front End Loader and Skid Steer through hands-on experience.
