Requirements

  • Currently attending and enrolled full time in the spring term immediately preceding the internship (or scheduled to graduate in the spring) in an accredited related undergraduate program
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0
  • Ability to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer
  • U.S. citizen, asylee, refugee, or lawful permanent resident of the U.S.
  • Note: If you have not yet started your undergraduate program, please apply to a high school intern position.
  • Qualifications We Desire:
  • Exceptional written, oral, and visual communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute in a team environment
  • Mechanical, fluids, thermal and/or electric power system course work or experience
  • Proficiency with modern computer languages (e.g., Python)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft suite (e.g. Word, Excel)
  • Experience with machine learning and data analysis and associated tools (e.g. SkySpark)
  • Experience with data collection and data sampling/metering practices

Responsibilities

  • Work in a hybrid work environment that may require being on site in Livermore CA
  • Conducting studies for Net Zero initiatives such as the viability of hydrogen on-site
  • Supporting commissioning and building controls optimization activities
  • Supporting field activities such as meter reading, equipment inspection, vendor escorting and data gathering
  • Performing data analysis benefiting metering and reporting needs
  • Developing data processing tools such as python and excel
  • Developing communication materials for stakeholder briefings
  • Piloting data visualization dashboard
