The ideal candidate for the Intern Catastrophe Risk Analyst position at AIG should be a 2nd year student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in geography, engineering, hydrology, applied mathematics, natural sciences, geo-sciences, or an equivalent qualification. They should have basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and be on track to receive a First or 2:1 degree. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and strong flexibility and adaptability skills are also preferred.

The intern will support a business unit by assisting with projects, analyzing and reporting data, using catastrophe modelling and financial modelling software, providing real-time reporting and analysis of natural disasters, preparing for client meetings, and auditing and cleansing data.
