The ideal candidate for the Intern Civil Engineer position at HNTB must be currently enrolled in an accredited engineering program, have a basic understanding of engineering principles, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, ability to follow directions, knowledge of shop drawing and submittal procedures, competency in basic engineering calculations, and organizational skills for document preparation. Completion of at least 2 years of post-secondary Civil Engineering program, AutoCAD and/or MicroStation experience, and a strong interest in transportation and infrastructure are preferred.

The intern civil engineer will support and collaborate with experienced engineers in designing and analyzing stormwater and utility systems, utilizing design software, conducting site visits and surveys, preparing technical reports and drawings, and staying updated on industry trends.
