What is the duration of the internship?
The internship is for an 8-month term, from January to the end of August 2025.
Is the internship remote or in-person?
The internship is a hybrid role, requiring attendance at Wealthsimple’s downtown Toronto office for a minimum of 2 days a week, while also allowing for remote work.
What are the eligibility requirements for the internship?
Candidates must be currently enrolled as a student at a Canadian post-secondary institution or technical bootcamp, or be a new graduate within 6 months of their graduation date, available to work full-time hours, and residing in Canada.
What types of projects will I work on during the internship?
You will contribute to internal and external communications, assist with media campaigns, conduct competitor analysis and media monitoring, support government relations and advocacy campaigns, and collaborate with various teams across Wealthsimple.
Is there an opportunity for mentorship during the internship?
Yes, interns will receive mentorship and support from the Communications team and the broader Wealthsimple community.
What qualifications are ideal for this intern position?
Candidates should be recent graduates or currently enrolled in a diploma/degree program in Communications, Public Policy, or a similar field, have strong writing skills, be quick learners, and possess motivation and accountability.
