Requirements

  • Must be pursuing a BA/BS or MA/MS degree in Biostatistics/statistics, information science or related area
  • Must be at least a Junior in college at the time of your application
  • Programming experience with SAS, R or Python
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Preferred Experience and Skills:
  • Experience working with clinical data and Data Visualization tools like Power BI
  • Prior internship, work, or volunteer/extracurricular experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Available to work full-time during the summer months (June-August)
  • Proactive and solution-driven mindset
  • Strong sense of accountability and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Learn how data is collected, cleaned, and used in clinical trials
  • Partner with multiple groups in a matrix environment to develop data review and visualization dashboards
  • Participate in regular meetings with Data Management functions
  • Assist with data extraction and re-formatting tasks
  • Design and/or maintain flexible programming capable of creating standardized data sets across multiple formats on different studies
  • Present to the department on a topic selected by your manager at the end of your internship
