Requirements

  • Our intern will be working towards an Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Fashion/Apparel Design, Technical Design, Industrial Design.Must be able to work on a Mac, have a basic knowledge of Adobe programs (Illustrator, Photoshop), basic knowledge of Microsoft programs (Excel, Powerpoint),

Responsibilities

  • Research and inspiration – shopping the market and pulling reference imagery for concept and style inspiration.
  • Hand and computer sketching – quick hand sketches for jotting down initial ideas will then be translated into the computer to include all necessary stitches, trims, and construction details.
  • Line plan creation – design an entire collection to create a head to toe look for on court athletes. Pull together color palette, prints, and graphic direction to tie the collection together.
  • Hand over to Tech Design – hand over styles to Tech Design Intern in order to build out specs by way of 3D design, to clearly communicate fit intent to the vendor.
  • Tech pack creation: create tech packs in Adobe Illustrator that include all technical call outs for the vendor on how to create the garment. Each tech pack will also inclide a Bill of Materials created in Microsoft Excel, that lists out all fabrics and trims necessary to create the garment.
