Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in event management, hospitality, marketing, or a related field.
  • Available to work at least 40 hours per week for a minimum of 3 months.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and social media platforms.
  • Proficiency with remote communication tools (Zoom, Webex, Google Hangout)
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal and listening skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Creative, proactive, and detail oriented.
  • Passionate about events and eager to learn.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to collaborate with others in a professional and respectful manner
  • Positive, can-do attitude
  • Job Experience:
  • No prior work experience is required, but any relevant experience in event planning, marketing, or customer service is a plus.
  • Previous involvement in campus or community events is preferred.
  • Preferred 1-2 years of event management experience

Responsibilities

  • Assist the events team with planning, coordinating, and executing various events, such as webinars, tradeshows, conferences, and executive level events.
  • Assist in event strategy, logistics, and execution.
  • Research and contact potential speakers, vendors, and venues for events.
  • Manage event registrations, confirmations, and feedback surveys.
  • Support the event department with other administrative tasks as needed.
