Requirements

  • Near completion of an undergraduate degree or degree-seeking master's level in the fields of Business Intelligence, Business Analytics, Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • Tools & Technology: Experience with – such as through your coursework – in creating visuals from data sets
  • Communication & Influence: Proficient in written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in O365, Sharepoint, Tableau or Power BI
  • Agile/backlog management (e.g. Azure, Jira, Confluence), or equivalent preferred.
  • Some experience with programming or automation software (e.g. UI Path, Power Automate, VBA) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Understand from both a leader and team member perspective what insights users want from the skill proficiency dashboards and recommend a 2.0 dashboard mockup based on feedback.
  • Identify specific insights users seek from the SPT dashboards and gaps where insights are not available or not easily accessible.
  • Analyze which views in the dashboard are most and least used, and identify areas that are least understood or most cumbersome to use.
  • Conduct external benchmarking and research to gather insights and reference templates/examples from quality dashboards.
  • Design mockups in Tableau/Power BI or create visuals using PowerPoint/Photoshop, depending on skillset.
  • Apply technical skillset to real-world opportunities, identifying processes or functional areas that would benefit from documentation, streamlining, or automation.
  • Utilize tools like Generative AI, Power Automate, Power Apps, VBA, and/or Python to explore automation opportunities within the team.
  • Establish a shared data and file repository for semi-structured data (e.g., Excel files) with live data connection functionality.
