Requirements

  • We would like our intern to be working towards an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Sports Marketing preferred but not required for this role.
  • Currently a Junior or Senior enrolled in a college or 4-year university (university or college must be an ITA member)
  • Tennis Team Member or Team Manager and for at least two semesters
  • Experience promoting his/her varsity tennis team on their college campus and in the community (i.e. helping to market home matches as part of the ITA attendance race)

Responsibilities

  • Gathering data from NCAA and junior tournaments and constructing Excel and PowerPoint reports to organize product market share of Wilson compared with top competitors. Used this data to evaluate the growth of the company compared to previous years
  • Creating relationships with players, families and consumers when working as a racquet sales expert at professional tennis tournaments such as the Cincinnati Open and the U.S. Open
  • Evaluating and selecting junior players for select team and platinum sponsorships based on recruiting scales and scouting
