Requirements

  • Strong understanding of renewable energy markets and technologies. 
  • Knowledge of the energy industry including regulated and de-regulated electricity markets and project financing structures and key value drivers. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel. 
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative environment that emphasizes attention to detail, meeting deadlines, and working together to achieve company-wide objectives

  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the renewable energy industry, including full life-cycle development of utility scale solar and/or wind projects.
  • Exposure to Contracts/ Leases.
  • Exposure to project schedules and project budgets.
  • Some knowledge of governmental mandates, environmental regulations or customer/market signals that impact or facilitate new development of renewable projects in major markets (CAISO, WECC, ERCOT, MISO, SPP, PJM, NYISO, ISO-NE).

Responsibilities

  • Supporting implementation of Landfolio, a lease management software.
  • Support on lease record inputs in GIS from our 30 GW development pipeline.
  • Learn about the development milestones of complex large-scale renewable energy projects from initial project proposal and siting, through to permitting, design, interconnection, approval, contracting, financing, and handover to construction.
  • Support the development of alternative project development approaches that reduce exposure to permitting risks, optimize development schedules or create additional project value.
  • Learn about project budgets and schedules.
  • The Land Lease Intern will be assigned with an individual project and will present results to the project leadership at the end of the summer.
