Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a PhD degree in Cell Biology or related field
  • Experience working with microscopes
  • Experience with histochemistry
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Self-motivated with a “can-do” attitude
  • Flexible, able to respond quickly to shifting priorities and able to multitask
  • Nice to have:
  • Experience with Python to analyze images
  • Knowledge in immunity, in mammalian histology and/or in cell death biology.
  • Experience with live tissue imaging

Responsibilities

  • With our help, based on pre-existing data, establish a list of aging markers and the suitable approaches to image them
  • Optimize staining techniques in collaboration with our histology core
  • Use our high-content microscopes to generate a large number of observations
  • In collaboration with our microscopy data scientist, run the image analysis
