  • Education:
  • H.S. diploma/GED - High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Currently enrolled toward a degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related IT field
  • Experience:
  • 0 to One (1) year experience with Microsoft Excel which includes VLOOKUPS and Pivot tables. Network support knowledge.
  • Skills and Abilities:
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data analysis from multiple spreadsheets)
  • Good communication skills with technical and non-technical members of the extended team
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
  • Ability to work independently and as member of a team
  • Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills
  • Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices
  • Knowledge:
  • General IT Network knowledge (WAN/LAN, TCP/IP, IP based networks) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Create or update Department documentation.
  • Update network monitoring tools with Site information.
  • Monitor alarm conditions on the network to proactively identify and minimize network disruption.
  • Work with Local Exchange Carriers to resolve WAN problems.
  • Interaction with business users and technical teams.
