Requirements

  • Applicants will possess the following attributes: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, AutoCAD, Sketch-Up, Revit, effective verbal communication and presentation skill is required.
  • Applicant must be currently enrolled in a Interior Design or Architect class.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, college level or professional writing skill, and effective verbal communication and presentation skill.
  • Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card (Level 1) or apply for an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card within 20 working days of employment.
  • Must have a valid Arizona drivers license, be 21 years of age with minimum 4 years driving experience, and meet requirements of Terros Health’s driving policy.
  • Completion of the pre-student/Intern screening process as determined solely at the discretion of Terros Health, which may include a criminal background check, and drug screen

Responsibilities

  • Under the supervision of a qualified Terros Health professional; the student-intern will perform tasks related to their specific area of study and the Intern learning Contract. In a highly professional healthcare setting provided by Terros Health; the student will be given an opportunity to apply, and continue to learn by practical application the principals, theory, and knowledge from their related course work.
  • Experiences gain from this position prepares the individual in the respective fields: Interior Designer/Decorator, Landscape Architect/Designer, Facilities Management and Operations, Sustainability, or Building/Structural Architect/Designer.
  • Exposure to project management functions as part of this internship program provides students with the basic skillsets related to Project Management. Though, to be marketable and meet industry/business standard, the individual interested in the PM track should investigate project management certification, PMP, which is certified through the PMI organization.
  • Upon completion of the program, the student will have learned:
  • Assist in creating a design concept or a “design” for a project (site/facility/room/landscape/sustainability)
  • Create design draft using Sketch-Up, AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software
  • Create floor plan and or 3-D rendering
  • Assist with procurement of design materials and or decorative
  • Assist with implementation of design element (s), materials and or decorative
  • Put together decorative, design elements, and or arrangement
  • Install and arrange interior’s design elements in a facility, room, or a site
  • Collect and document project requirements and change orders
  • Travel to sites/clinics to acquire information, design concept, installation, participate in meetings, and or coordination with vendors
  • Solicit local vendors or retail stores for donations to certain projects
