Requirements

  • Intern candidates must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Our internships are unable to accommodate OPT
  • Interns are responsible for their own housing
  • Currently enrolled as a student at an accredited college, university
  • Biological science or biomedical engineering degree program
  • Be classified as a minimum of a sophomore
  • Must be planning to return to school at the end of their break
  • Chemistry and/or biology laboratory experience
  • Knowledge of blood components, microscopy, flow cytometer, ELISA/EIA methodology

Responsibilities

  • This role is focused on support of current research/development on blood components as related to Fresenius Kabi medical devices.
  • Assisting in R&D studies related to blood component storage
  • Development of new testing/assay methodologies
  • Conducting routine testing/analysis
  • Authoring/updating laboratory standard operating procedures and work instructions.
