Requirements

College Sophomore, Junior, or Senior working toward a Bachelor’s degree with a major in Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
Relevant internship experience in financial services industry is preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills required
Analytical, detail-oriented with excellent research skills
Ability to collaboratively solve problems using verbal and written skills
Ability to organize work and self and execute a wide range of tasks in a logical fashion
Good decision making and documentation skills to interact effectively with team members

Responsibilities

Monitor the economic data and capital markets daily
Assist in the development of macroeconomic environment and tactical portfolio positioning; present at various internal meetings
Oversee the liquidity positions of the portfolio based on asset and liability cash flows
Enhance the team’s monitoring for the portfolio’s strategic and tactical positioning
Collaborate with different departments of Nassau, particularly actuary, treasury, product development and strategic initiatives
Participate in investment review due diligence calls of sector teams before purchases of internally underwritten investments
Assist in the preparation of investment committee presentations
Work with credit analyst on developing proprietary database of portfolio energy holdings
