Requirements

  • Master’s and PhD students preferred.
  • Required major: Mechanical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a closely related discipline
  • GPA of at least 3.5
  • Required Skills:
  • Experience with rapid prototyping technologies and basic shop tools
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Works with integrity and takes ownership of their work
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong drive for problem solving skills for multidisciplinary challenges
  • Naturally curious and hungry to learn new technical skills and concepts
  • Experience with microfluidic device fabrication

Responsibilities

  • As an intern, you will have the opportunity to assist our team of engineers in the development and testing of proof-of-concept devices and fixtures related to our innovative platforms. This role offers hands-on experience in an interdisciplinary setting, encompassing a range of responsibilities such as testing and characterizing components, sub-systems, and fixtures. Additionally, you will be involved in data analysis, report writing, and presenting results. You may also contribute to projects involving the development of microfluidic device fabrication methods, device integration, and characterization. Collaboration with fellow engineers and scientists will be a key aspect, as you work closely together on integration efforts and verification activities.
