Requirements

  • Enrollment in a 4-year degree program at an accredited institution at the time of internship
  • Completion of sophomore year with some organizational development or HR courses under your belt
  • Minimum cumulative GPA: 3.0
  • Availability to work a minimum of 10 weeks at 40 hours a week
  • Technical savviness in using an applicant tracking system and navigating social media and SharePoint
  • Intermediate proficiency in using MS Excel and MS PowerPoint to create and manipulate spreadsheets and presentations
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Natural curiosity and diplomatic communication style

Responsibilities

  • Learning recruitment and sales techniques to attract talent to Yazaki
  • Collaborating with Talent Acquisition team members in sourcing and screening candidates while also learning and supporting the whole recruitment life-cycle
  • Participate in Corporate Orientation sessions
  • Design, develop and execute a lunch & learn session for hiring managers to discuss the best practices of hiring using learning and development methodologies
  • Shadowing team members in Employee Relations, Benefits, Compensation and HRIS
