Requirements

  • Working towards an Urban Planning, Urban Design, Public Policy, or related Master’s or PhD program
  • Experience using GIS Mapping software (ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online) preferred
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and InDesign) preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required
  • Ability to present ideas, projects and solutions in a polished and professional manner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Flexibility to work on-site and non-standard business hours occasionally, must be able to travel to project sites

Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will serve as a contributor on project tasks including research; data collection and analysis; mapping and geospatial analysis; public and stakeholder outreach; and development of maps, reports, presentations, and graphics. Ideal candidates will be solutions-focused, with the ability to contribute to problem solving, report writing, and positive team dynamics.
