Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution (2nd or 3rd year, preferably having completed courses in accounting, finance, or auditing), working towards a degree in accounting, finance, or related field with a demonstrated aptitude for analytics and coding (for example, pursuing a minor in Computer Science or a portfolio of relevant projects).
  • Experience with Alteryx, SQL, Tableau, R or Python is an asset
  • Must be available to work onsite throughout the duration of the internship and able to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work well under pressure and be self-motivated with a positive attitude
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office including MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the planning and execution of data analysis for audit engagements using Alteryx, Excel, and Python
  • Investigating results of data analysis and preparing reports for management to summarize findings
  • Develop dashboards and design metrics for business intelligence projects using Tableau or Power BI
  • Perform and document data validation testing on queries/reports, data sets, and templates
  • Accurately track and report on hours worked on assignments
  • Perform research and other ad hoc assignments, as requested
