Requirements

  • Leadership skills, eagerness to learn and ready for the challenge ahead

  • *To be eligible, you must return to school the semester following the internship period and have the right to work full-time in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • These opportunities will allow you to design, develop and operate processes for converting and refining raw materials into products. In Process Safety, interns will be engaged in many aspects relating to the safe management of hazards across the Rio Tinto Kennecott processes. From the mine to concentrating, to smelting and refining copper, there are hazards of catastrophic nature that the Process Safety Management (PSM) team assists in managing.
