Requirements

  • Undergraduate or graduate student focusing on international relations, history, political science, or Asia Studies
  • Students should have completed the equivalent of four semesters of college coursework (not including AP classes in high school) by the time they begin an internship
  • Demonstrated interest in China and international relations required
  • Previous experience in research, proofreading, and editing
  • Mandarin proficiency
  • Website design and management skills preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide bilingual research and editorial support for fellow's book project, blog posts, and other projects focused on Chinese domestic and foreign policy
  • Track latest developments on China and contribute to a newsletter on China
  • Assist in logistical support for meetings
  • Contribute to drafting blog posts
  • Produce weekly news briefs on the latest China discussions.
  • Compile primary research materials in Chinese for long-term research projects
