Requirements

  • Education and Experience:
  • Graduate student majoring in Computer Science, Data Analytics or Information Systems with a GPA of 3.0 or above. Must be currently in school.
  • Expertise with open source or commercial data integration tools (Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Informatica, etc.)
  • Expertise with structured content and databases / repositories (Microsoft SQL Server)
  • Expertise with agile and development pipeline including test automation frameworks (Jira, Jenkins, Cucumber, etc.)
  • Familiar with data impact analysis, software development practices, and data architecture concepts
  • Experience with Data Virtualization and Data Visualization techniques and tools
  • Skills & Competencies:
  • Programming skills in Python, Java, or other relevant languages
  • Basic knowledge of database management systems and SQL
  • Candidates should possess a strong understanding of APIs and be familiar with their associated tools, such as Postman, and REST client applications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn about data integration and virtualization technologies
  • Ability to complete assignments with attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
  • Work independently or as part of a team and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision
  • A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and improvement of data integration of business critical platforms and development processes
  • Contribute as a developer and tester for the Denodo architecture upgrade phase 2 project to streamline data model implementation and reuse of enterprise data assets
  • Re-model, re-structure and re-develop intermediate and final views to improve reuse and reduce duplication
  • Create and model base views, derived views and consumption views as per the existing process
  • Provide inputs and contribute to new process set up and existing process enhancements, for Denodo and BO platforms
  • Enhance test automation/python scripts to complement the existing testing approach
  • Take part in Operations, support and maintenance activities of Denodo and BO platforms
  • Engage on SAP Business Objects testing/development/support work to deliver and update data sources for enterprise analytics
  • Perform Analysis on BO reports reusability and migration
  • Contribute to enhancements to the Audit dashboards for Denodo, Business Objects, etc. developed on Splunk
  • Assist in the documentation of data virtualization processes and best practices
