Requirements

Undergraduate or graduate student majoring in political science, International Relations, European Studies, Security Studies, or a related field
All applicants should have completed the equivalent of four semesters of college coursework (not including AP classes in high school) by the time they begin an internship
Knowledge of European Affairs, transatlantic relations, and U.S Foreign Policy
Prior internship experience, especially in nonprofit or think tank work, a plus
Demonstrated interest in European politics and security
Excellent research, writing, editing, and proofreading skills
Proficiency in any EU language and/or German a plus

Responsibilities

Knowledge of European affairs, transatlantic relations, and U.S. foreign policy
Conducting research as requested by the research associate and/or fellow on a variety of topics including the European Union, European security, the war in Ukraine, and European China Policy
Preparing research memos and assisting in the drafting and editing of written work
Tracking developing news stories in Europe, predominately related to European security with a focus on Germany, France, and Russia
Assisting with logistical support for meetings under the direct supervision of their supervisor
