Requirements

  • Undergraduate or graduate student with a concentration in global health, international development, economics, or related field
  • All applicants should have completed the equivalent of four semesters of college coursework (not including AP classes in high school) by the time they begin an internship
  • Previous research or relevant internship experience preferred, especially in health policy/public policy
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Strong research, writing, and editing skills
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office Suite
  • Data analysis/visualization skills (R, Stata, etc) are a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Conducting research as requested by the research associate and/or fellow on a variety of topics such as multilateral institutions, local, regional, and international response to COVID-19; national health legislation and funding; and non-communicable diseases for several health-related publications and data interactives
  • Assist with writing and editing content, including research memos and briefs, blog posts, book chapters, and other publications, as needed
  • Assist in logistical support for meetings, including but not limited to preparing distribution materials and helping with guest check-in during roundtables and other departmental events, under the supervisor’s direct supervision
  • Contribute to Think Global Health through writing, editing, and promotional efforts
  • Track daily news reports that are relevant for the department
  • Contribute to Think Global Heatlh
