Requirements

  • Currently working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design
  • Humble, professional, and positive can-do attitude
  • Previous internship and/or project experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • - Provide creative and relevant conceptual thinking for a variety of projects
  • - Photoshop, Illustrator
  • - Hand-sketching, rendering and visual communication of concepts
  • - 3D CAD modelling – software such as Solidworks, Alias, or Rhino
  • - Hands-on foam sculpting and physical prototyping
  • - Interfacing with 3D Digital Modeling, Engineering, Retail Development, and Marketing teams to provide design solutions to various challenges
  • - From time-to-time graphic design challenges will surface; the ideal candidate will have an eye for graphics

What is the expected duration of the internship?

The internship is expected to start around January or February 2025 and continue through the entire Spring term (i.e. through May 2025) or into Summer 2025 if available, with a minimum commitment of 12 weeks.

What type of work authorization requirements are there for international students?

International students must consult their school regarding their ability to work 40 hours per week on-site if their work authorization is through CPT.

What projects will I be involved in during this internship?

You will be involved with energy products, charging products, vehicle accessories, environments, packaging, and on-product graphics, ranging from hand sketches and renderings to 3D CAD modeling and building physical prototypes.

What software skills are required for this position?

Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and 3D CAD modeling software such as Solidworks, Alias, or Rhino is required.

Is prior experience necessary for this internship?

Previous internship and/or project experience is a plus, but it is not strictly required.
