Requirements

  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Junior or above.
  • Recent graduates will not be eligible for this program.
  • Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
  • An official transcript may be required upon request.
  • Preferred majors include: Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechatronics.
  • Preferred coursework completed: Math, Physics, Statistics, Dynamics, Machine Design.
  • Experience:
  • Prior internship experience related to position is preferred.
  • Additional information:
  • Preferable skills for success in role include but not limited to:
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, AutoDesk Inventor, and/or Solidworks required.
  • Must be efficient in Microsoft Office Programs including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities and organization.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Superior written & verbal communication skills.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines.
  • Ability to work autonomously and/or in teams.
  • Consistent attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Retrieves engineering data and information from SharePoint, MAXIMO, and develops Engineering drawings/documentation and PowerPoint presentations of technical data for business planning.
  • Understands basic engineering practices from request to resolution.
  • Learns theory of integrated systems, QC processes, manufacturing processes, and engineering drafting practices.
  • Generates Engineering calculations to support theories.
  • Develops an understanding of engineering data collection.
  • Develops Engineering drawings & documentation.
  • Develops an understanding of presentations developed form an Engineering and/or Business aspect.
  • Supports park operations through engineering records and documentation, calculations, CAD drafting, and more.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
