Requirements

  • Undergraduate or graduate student majoring in international affairs, political science, or related field
  • Students should have completed the equivalent of four semesters of college coursework (not including AP classes in high school) by the time they begin an internship
  • Previous office experience strongly preferred
  • Extremely detail-oriented, with excellent writing, editing, and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a pressured environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; strong writing, editing, and database skills

Responsibilities

  • Conducting research on potential foreign policy topics for discussion, as well as possible moderators and speakers
  • Management of UNGA spreadsheets
  • Assisting with correspondence with speakers and confirmation calls to member participants, and drafting invitations to high- level event attendees
  • Additional assistance to the Meetings team members as needed
