Candidates must have strong communication, organizational, and time management skills, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. They must be enrolled in an IT program or a recent graduate, with a preference for experience in warehousing, ecommerce, SQL, and Java.

The IT Intern will collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement solutions that support business requirements, work independently and within a team, learn new concepts and processes, prioritize projects and deadlines, communicate effectively with team members and management, participate in release planning and deployment, collaborate with analysts and QAs on testing strategies, and work with the product team on business requirements and test plans to meet business needs.

Interns will work within specific areas in Costco’s Information Systems Division. Interns will attend presentations given by various members of Executive Management from IT and other areas of the Company. Interns will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses. Housing is not provided.&nbsp;</li><li>Costco’s Warehouse Fulfillment team is leveraging modern technology, frameworks, and infrastructure to build innovative Buy Online and Pick Up at the Warehouse (BOPIW) systems. The BOPIW initiative is underway, rapidly growing with the plan of rolling out the capabilities to 500+ Costco Warehouse locations before the end of the summer. The team is responsible for delivering new enhancements and providing support to the business. The intern will have the opportunity to interface directly with customers, Systems Analysts, Software Developers, and QA/QE in solving issues and delivering solutions to real business problems. The internship will provide a holistic, hands-on SLDC experience from customer intake/business problem identification to solution design, development, testing, and implementation, while getting fully immersed in the Costco Culture.&nbsp;</li><li>NOTE: While participating in the IT Internship program, an individual will be classified as an hourly temporary employee for the&nbsp;duration of the program. During the program, the individual may be asked to undergo the normal interview process for a level 1&nbsp;position.
