Requirements

  • Prefer candidates at the junior, senior, or graduate student level pursuing a degree in Business Information Systems or Supply Chain Management or a similar major with strong communication and data analysis skills.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills
  • Interest in learning about healthcare information technology
  • Exhibits exceptional verbal, written and interactive communication skills
  • Demonstrates effective research tactics; good organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality
  • Ability to convey a positive and professional image to internal and external customers

Responsibilities

  • Gain an introduction or expand your skills into the areas of IS Vendor Management and Strategic Sourcing
  • Opportunity to participate and learn as part of our Information Systems team and complete projects that are value added to the business such as:
  • Assist in special projects such as analysis of and reporting on current organizational vendor landscape
  • Analysis of contracts including business requirements and legal terms and conditions
  • Study of annual spend and revenue forecasts
  • Analyzing data
  • Opportunity to influence negotiations with large, global IT vendors
  • Report on existing agreements and confidential contract terms
  • Interaction across various IS towers (applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity) and with senior leadership
  • Willingness to promote academic, career and personal development
  • Opportunity to provide and receive feedback
  • Utilize problem solving skills
  • Assists in special projects, as needed
  • Maintain accurate and updated IS vendor records
