Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in the Energy and Professional Land Management Program or a related post-secondary education program
  • Experience with Accumap, Arcgis maps, Qbyte Land System, EnerLink, Petro-Lab / Query-Lab, AFE Navigator is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Surface Land Student:
  • Assist with Third Party Agreements
  • Verify survey matches information in QBLM
  • Support in auditing acquired files
  • Assist with data integrity/maintenance of surface files
  • Help with capital projects (new well and pipeline acquisition)
  • Mineral Land Student:
  • Decision making process based on economics for drill locations, land sales and acquisitions
  • Understanding various other department interfaces and the information flow (e.g. Commercial Operations, Accounting, Drilling and Completions, Surface Land, Well Abandonment Group, etc.)
  • Post strategies, lands and analyze previous sales for bid level determination /sale meetings / bidding
  • Conduct Mineral Expiry analysis of CNR and competitor lands
  • Understanding and implementing Crown regulations/Acts/Directives for BC, AB, SK & MB – where is the information, what are the ramifications, who are the go to people for information inside and outside for Canadian Natural
